Brand identity - Internship Oh My
During my internship at Oh My I got the oppertunity to work with a new restaurant in Luleå called Nomad. Our task was to develop Nomad’s brand identity.

During the fall, I spent eight weeks as a design intern at Oh My in Stockholm - a creative agency known for building bold, strategic brands through design, identity, digital experiences, and tech. Working inside their holistic process gave me insight into how an idea grows into a complete brand.
One of my main projects was Nomad, a new restaurant opening in Luleå. I was involved in developing their entire brand identity: from the visual expression and tone of voice to menu design, signage, parts of the interior concept, brand strategy, and even the website design and development. Being part of such a broad and hands-on project gave me the chance to contribute creatively while learning how a full brand ecosystem comes together.
Context
Our project team included my mentor Sandra Bergström (Art Director & Designer), copywriter Katarina Gunnerholm, project manager Frida Ågren/Emma Evanne - and me as a graphic design intern.
I joined the project from the very first creative meeting with the client and took part in the research and concept development phase. My role included creating sketches and moodboards for different design directions. Once the client had chosen a direction, we moved on to designing the logo, developing illustrations, choosing colors and typography, and creating various mockups and sketches for signage and a t-shirt print.
Sandra and I often sketched in parallel and then merged our ideas together. As the process progressed, I was given more responsibility to develop concepts on my own. One of my tasks was to further develop an illustration I had started - which, with a bit of refinement from Sandra, eventually became the main symbol for Nomad. I was also responsible for creating the first 1.0 design of the website for both desktop and mobile.
My role and design process
Working closely with Sandra and Katarina was incredibly valuable - creative, forward-thinking, and filled with insightful feedback rounds. It was exciting to follow a full process from the very beginning to almost the final outcome. I’ve learned so much, and it has been inspiring to see the project grow from the client’s initial words and vision, to our interpretations and sketches, and finally into a finished product. I’m really looking forward to visiting the restaurant back home in Luleå this Christmas.
